Palm Sunday March 28, 2010

Special Thanks:

Sincere Thanks to Fr Kevin Mac Donald for our Lenten Mission, to the Planning Committee and to all who assisted in many ways to make the retreat a very enriching experience for all. It is now time to live the fruits of the Retreat for the good of family Santa Rosa.

Thank also to all who assisted with the cutting; transportation and preparation of the Palms that are being used in our Liturgy this weekend.

When the Minister visit the sick and age they too will received their bless Palms.

The schedule for Holy Week:

Please note the schedule for this week in your Easter Flyer and in the catholic news. . Easter Sunday Masses  at 7.00am and 9.00am there will be no 6.30pm Mass..

  1. The special mass for the renewal of commitment by all priests and the blessing of the Oils for use in the sacraments.
  2. Please note also the additional mass at 12 noon Mon – Wed.
  3. Check your flyer for other details about the most special week of our church year.

Confession

Confession for this week on Wednesday 31st March at 5.00pm in the Church and on Good Friday during the special service after the Way of the Cross.

Easter Offering

Once again, parishioners are encouraged to give generously to the Easter Collection for the Support of the Priests working in the archdiocese. Special Envelopes are available; please ask for your own.

Volunteers Needed

(a) On Wednesday 31th March, we will need some help to place the chairs in the park  and wipe them. This help will also be needed on Good Friday after the Stations of the Cross and on Gloria Saturday from 9.00 a.m.

(b) We welcome donations of bottled water for the way of the Cross on Good Friday Morning. Please deliver to the Parish office during regular hours.

If you need to be reminded, please give your names and phone contact to the mass Host after this Mass.

Life in the Spirit Seminar 2010

The People of Praise will host a Life in the Spirit Seminar from Friday 16th April at 7.00 p.m. at the House of Praise, De Gannes Street, for eight (8) Fridays. Registration forms are available from the Bookshop and any member of the People of Praise Community.
